Mellie and the kids were going to be out of town for a week. Cyrus was off with james trying to patch things up. This left Fitz with a free week, where he was taking time off. Time off for him however was renting a private cabin in the woods. A cabin he wouldn't be sharing alone because he invited Kari to join him. He arrived first, she'd be coming after she got out of work. So he was getting things ready for her. Things like stocking the fridge so they had food.
